An early, circa 1860, converted gas chandelier with Crystal arms and column pieces. Glass items are in excellent condition. Bobesches were drilled in an early electrification process and one shade has a small bottom rim flake. The shades are early 5" etched with a floral pattern and high crown. These shades are some of the nicest you will find and have a clear bold design. The wiring is all new as well as the sockets and a ground wire is also installed. The crystal arm sockets and other hardware are silver plated and in good condition with only minimal wear; the shade holders and some metal parts e.g. socket covers have been replated. All of the restoration has been done in our shop. The width from shade to shade is 35" & the center column drop or length is 55" from the top loop to the bottom glass ball. This is an excellent example of Mid-19th Century Lighting.
Price: $1900
Note: We will restore 2 matching four arm chandeliers, very similar in appearance to this one. The four arm chandeliers have large bobesches/covers in the bottom center and the shades are old early ones, but do not have the high crowns. The one four arm chandelier is restored at this time.
