Victorian 1895 Composite Lamp

A circa 1895 Composite style kerosene lamp. The font is about 5" diameter and the lamp stands 13" high. The lamp features an early octogonal etched style font with a full covered collar. The spelter stem is brass plated, but some of the brass is gone. The base is slate and has some wear/roughness around all the surfaces. The bottom flat section of the stem was probably poorly cast as it seems to have some casting air holes as seen in the one picture. A nice example of early Victorian lighting. Note. The middle picture shows what appears to be spots on the brass, but is actually dust! Upon closer examination, the stem may be cast with the Winged Mercury motif.
