A period 4 Arm converted Crystal gas chandelier, circa 1850. Newly rewired. In excellent condition. There is a slight crack that is none weight bearing small section of a glass sleeve of the center column and only minor flea bites that can be expected of a lamp of this age. The 4 arms and canopy have silver/nickel plated surfaces. The arm bobesches have been replaced with old etched ones. The arms are terminated in original 5" floral design etched gas shades. The chandelier features two tiered and graduated circles of 7" & 6" cut spear prisms on the column. The 4 arm bobesches have 4" cut spear prisms as well as the large bottom bobesche. The prisms chains streaming down from the top of the column to each arm complement the prisms on the fixture. Some prisms have minor damage. The fixture is 48" high from the top of the canopy to the bottom of the bobesche and 30" across, from shade to shade. The chandelier has been professionally restored and is ready to hang in an elegant home. There is another almost identical 4 arm chndelier that is restored and it has some of 4"prisms replaced with high quality prisms.. Also related is a 2 arm similar chandelier that is already restored (#115)
